What is it?
It combines a variable speed lead pump with one or two constant speed lag pumps.
It is a highly efficient and very economical pressure boosting package.
Use Tech 500 Controller with Danfoss VLT 6000 drive. Difference between lead/lag pump motors must be no larger than one size.
Typically 1531 vertical mounted pumps are used, but horizontal pumps can also be used.
How does it work?
The system can be enabled to run automatically from the keypad, or remotely via “dry contact”, or serial communication. Variable speed lead pump varies its speed to satisfy demand for most of the day and night, whereas the lag pumps stage on to meet the peak demand and then stage off as the demand decreases.
Why use it?
To boost pressure of incoming city water and of the available hot water to meet the design flow and head depending upon the building requirements all through the day and night.
Typical application
Suitable for cold and hot water pressure boosting applications for schools, prisons, large and small residential and commercial buildings, etc.
Selection Process
